I bought Light Blue Purple, received it and liked it very much, then I ordered another one (Burnt Orange). Warm enough for winter in Tokyo. Both are now my favorite daily coats !
Product is not what I was looking for By CYN from CONNECTICUT on 12/19/2007 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will be returning my purchase. Hopefully, I can find the exact duffle coat I am looking for - full length woolcoat with a lining and hood.
By Leegleze from Abbotsford, BC on 12/17/2007 Describe Yourself: High-end shopper Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was very disappointed with the fit of this coat. It was much too roomy in the shoulders, yet barely fit at the hips. It was marketed for women, but I'm sure it was originaly tailored for a man (big shoulders, narrow hips). It also did not have functional fasteners around the neck (a must in colder weather) and the few toggles gaped, without any zipper or other type of closure. Admittedly, the coat was beautifully tailored, as the stitching was strong and well-detailed. But I had to give the coat to my son who was happy with the fit, but complained about the skimpy toggle fasteners. He said he would wear it for going out, but definitely not for warmth due to inadequate closures. I would definitely NOT recommend this for a woman.

By Melissa from Santa Cruz, CA on 12/14/2007 Cons: Order two sizes smaller. Describe Yourself: Career, Conservative, High-end shopper Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered two duffle coats. Both were shapeless and oversized.
Doesn't make it for cold weather By Cynthia the practical from Denver, CO on 12/14/2007 Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Conservative, High-end shopper, Outdoorsy Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Color is great. Too much open space around the neck, in spite of the collar tab. Open sleeves. Definetly not for breezy weather.
It looks great on the hanger! By Pamapalooza from Lake Orion, MI on 12/13/2007 Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Conservative Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was dissapointed. Sleeves were too long, coat was long, underarms were huge. I liked the fabric. It seemed like it was a duffle coat for a man not a woman.
By leegleze from Abbotsford, BC, Canada on 12/11/2007 Cons: Bulky, Not Warm, Unattractive Best Uses: Spring and fall only Describe Yourself: Conservative, High-end shopper Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered this in a size 42. I was disappointed for two reasons:
1)This coat, although marketed as a women's product, is tailored for a man. It has overly large shoulder room and very narrow hips. The arms were too long, and the coat gaped at the bottom when fastened.
2)The coat would have been warm if proper closures were installed to keep out the elements, but the skimpy toggles were the only fasteners. There was no drawstring in the hood or zipper to ensure full enclosure of the torso. The too-large neck gaped, and winter wind breezed up the wrist and arm areas.
For what it's worth, the tailoring was very good. Seams were sturdy and inner plaid fabric was matched along the seams. But all that is for naught if the coat doesn't fit properly or does not function as a duffle coat should. As a previous reviewer said, I can't believe this coat would keep sailors warm.
The bottom line is that this coat was definitely built for a male fashionista who works out and wants to look good. It has no function for a woman who wants to stay warm and keep out winter weather or harsh fall breezes. I had to give it to my son, who wasn't that impressed either.
