I would buy this product again. By Snowshoe from Annapolis, MD on 11/04/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Order a 1/2 size larger than normal. My son uses these for Special Olympics Snowshoeing, and won two gold medals in both of his races! There is a slot on the back of the heal of the boot that holds the strap of the snowshoe, works great!

By cdeube from PNW on 05/28/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small, Feels too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these boots but thankfully tried them on in the store first, as they do seem to run a little bit small. I wore them on a backpacking trip and covered around 20 miles and 2k feet elevation gain the first week I bought them. I was worried and brought extra shoes in case these killed me, but they were completely comfortable the entire time. I watched others get blisters and soar feet while I was flying in my Merrell's. Great product!

Another fine Merrell product By Cap'n Kirk from Corralitos, CA on 04/27/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Boy Scout leader Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have used and enjoyed Merrell boots/shoes/sandals in the past and find that their sizing is consistent and fit my feet well (YMMV). These particular boots provide sufficient support for short to mid length backing trips, and are warm enough for non-snow applications without being too hot for general comfort.
Great Value, Merrell Quality By Daytripper from Greensboro, North Carolina on 04/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Feel great, right out of the box. Little-to-no break-in. I listened to other reviews, and ordered 1/2 size larger. Seems to be a good decision. Have not had the opportunity to test waterproofing, but have confidence in Merrell's quality control. A little warm indoors or in warmer temperatures.
By riminisam from Helena, MT on 04/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Everyday, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will use the boot as a shoe rather than a boot. Don't think it will be a great hiking boot.
Good Shoe...Not Sized Right By Martin from Alexandria, VA on 03/27/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small, Feels too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My foot measures 9.5 at the shoe store. By Mooshele from NJ on 03/24/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Sole squeaked at first Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Merril makes great hiking boots and this is yet another example...always get a 1/2 size or full size larger. Merrels tend to run a little small plus you should have a little room in hiking boots so you don't damage toe nails on the down hill.
