Excellent Value - for casual hiking By Fosdick from East Windsor, NJ on 02/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good tread design for trail traction, good fit and very comfortable with short break in time. Only top eyelet has "cleat" for tighter lacing support,(instead of top two.) Insulation is light, but adequate for casual hiking use in teens and low twenties F. temperatures in light snow/ice cover and with appropriate socks.

Nice boots for cold weather... By Frank from Baltimore, MD on 02/02/2009 Pros: Good cold insulation, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Heavy, Too warm indoors Best Uses: Cold Weather, Harsh Terrain, Outdoor, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots seem nice for long cold weather exposure, but too heavy and with too much insulation for everyday or indoor use.
Unfortunately, I'm returning because I don't need as much insulation.
By WannaBe from Detroit, MI on 01/29/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great hiking boots with one minor glitch you MUST consider before purchasing...they run a little small. Take the advice of others in these reviews (which I did NOT) and order a half size bigger than your traditional size. Otherwise, they are great boots.

By Kevinsma from Long Island, NY on 01/27/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This boot is for my 16 year old, 6'1" tall son with CP. He doesn't walk as well as most of us and needed a snow boot. All-in-all it is a good boot for him, but I wish it was a little more flexible in the sole.
