By Have camera will travel from Maryland on 10/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The pictures seemed to portray this as a heavy vest for cold weather outer wear. This is actually a lightweight vest that works well over a sweater or flannel shirt on slightly cool days. When the temps drop even further, I recommend another garment on top of this vest. It works well when layering clothing.
By travel fiend from Boise, ID on 10/18/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Warm Cons: Runs little small around Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The extra large was very wide, the large fits quite close to the body. Good for warmth but would have preferred a little drape for the style I desired. Would have liked a size in between.
Otherwise great vest.

I am 6'5'' 195 lbs and it is perfect.

Can be used for dress occasion.
Excellent trekking vest!! By mountain hermit from On the road to Nepal on 09/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great hiking vest. It is strong enough to take pack straps for thru hiking, and it will look classy enough in Europe or Asia to give you status. It feels great too, but I got a small size instead of my normal medium and it is just right like that, so take care about getting sizes too large. Usually I wear Patagonia, but this is better than my micro-puff or synchilla vests. I will start looking at Mountain Hardwear stuff seriously after getting this vest!
By CoolBreeze from the Rust Belt on 08/26/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Good Cut Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I would describe the fit of this vest as "tailored" through the chest. I have a similar Mtn Hardware burly wooly sweater and wore it a couple of times a week last winter. It still looks great and is very comfortable.
Nice cut, but scratchy wool! By ClifferCarol from Maryland on 08/25/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband doesn't mind the quality of the wool in this vest, so we are keeping it. If I were going to wear it I would find it entirely too scratchy, feels like a poor quality wool, most likely reprocessed, but there was no info on this in the description or on the hang tag. This is my first disappointment with Mountain Hardwear.
Just what i was looking for. Warm without bulk.
By Bill from Walpole NH on 08/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Very handsome piece but no lining on collar making it too itchy to wear with anything other than a collared shirt.
