By the Thomas's from santa fe on 05/02/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Casual, Classic, Outdoorsy Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was disappointed in the "sherpa" part. Sherpa to me is the fuzzy ivory sheep-like stuff; this is more like a wool blanket. It is nice and I like the lining, just was expecting sherpa. The coral color is not pink like it may appear; it is a beautiful clay color (like another reviewer said I chose to believe when ordering-thank you). The cut is very feminine and fits curves (chest and hips) well without being too big everywhere else. The long tail is great for drafts and keeping out debris when you are working hard. It is a very warm vest, but very lightweight and easy to move around in. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. The problem now is I may need another one for work as I seem to be wearing this one to work and out places.

Ordered a medium size due to its relaxed fit. The vest fits well over a sweatshirt. The length of the vest fits nicely over the hips.

Tough work vest but stiff, bunchy collar By Alicia from Clearlake CA on 04/01/2008 Pros: Durable, Fits arround hips, Nice color, Some protection Cons: Anoying at the neck, Not form fitting, Stiff Best Uses: Sculpting or gardening, Working in a chilly place, Working outside Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, Eclectic, Teacher, Working artist Sizing: Feels true to size Comments: I will probably wear this a lot when I start carving a wood sculpture outside soon. This "coral" vest is a beautiful red clay color not pink looking like the picture. It is not as comfortable or warm as my down vest but my down vest is too hot sometimes and too delicate . This vest tough. I know it will take abuse. It also fits around my rear end where usual Carhartts do not.
The annoying things about it are: It is very stiff and the collar does not fold down like the picture. It runs into my neck and bunches.not as fashionable as I was hoping . I think I may wash it to see if it softens up or I can get the collar to fold down.
The vest is a little long for fashion ...but it should be perfect for keeping sawdust from going down my pants and going to the hardware stpre ....It might be just the thing for when I teach ceramics in the chilly studio.
I am uncertain if I should recommend this vest or not but it serves a purpose.

Nice vest -- way oversized By Horse rancher from Minnesota on 03/27/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Versatile Cons: Sized larger than label Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Will send it back for a XS. Usually wear a Medium, tried a Small, but these are sized very large.
Not quite what I expected By Harley/homeowner from Windsor Locks,CT on 03/24/2008 Best Uses: Cold weather yardwork Describe Yourself: Casual, Classic Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Provides great wind blocking, but the standup collar is more like a funnel, would have been better with a flat collar you could zip up. Fits not bad got a medium but even with a sweatshirt probably could have gotten a small. The longer back does keep out drafts.
