Transition-weight, but runs very small By Sammy from Chester, CT on 06/05/2009 Cons: Inadequate Protection, Not Enough Pockets or Features Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is Mt. Hardwear Transition Zip-T weight, but not convinced it is as efficient a garment as the Transition. This vest runs absurdly small, and only has a small vertical chest pocket. Wouldn't highly recommend it.
By UNi from Sacto, CA on 03/19/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cycling, running Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got a MD for cycling and running and I usually wear a LG shirt. Fits perfectly...well designed.
Sharp looking but kinda thin By spunky from minneapolis on 02/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Cons: Inadequate Protection Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the look but I live in Minnesota. I own 2 other marmot vest that are a bit heavier. Nice color.
By Bob Laublaugh from Orange Country, CA on 02/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The product is described as a Gore NTS fabric (think Windstopper w/out any fleece, Mountain Hardwear Transition type fabric) but Gore's labeling does not appear on the product. Hopefully the product will function as described despite the erroneous description.
Deceivingly thin without warm liner By none from Oakland, CA on 12/15/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Windproof Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Thin fabric. Not what I had expected. Requires layering up for warmth, so might as well have purchased a fleece lined vest from another company. Perfect for wind that kicks up on a spring day.
By PW from Loveland, CO on 11/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Extreme Conditions, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Enough style to wear in the office and enough performance to wear running, hiking, or backcountry skiing. Its uninsulated, windproof and waterproof. Perfect right above your base layer, not quite "Next to Skin" but close. Excellent way of keeping weather out during aerobic activities, like crosscountry skiing, climbing up backcountry ski trails, etc.
