By Devilmoth from San Jose, CA on 07/16/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, High Quality Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Overall this is a great bag. It certainly looks good and it seems to be made of quality material.
This would be a good bag to use for a laptop. I'm not using it for a laptop, but to carry lunch and other things to work. It's a big bag, but not terribly deep. I would prefer it to be a little less thin, but it is very roomy, overall.
It has a strap and a handle, and they both have small negatives. The strap looks great, but it's made of a fairly slick vinyl underneath, so it slides off of my shoulder if wearing on one side, and it cuts into my neck if I wear it on the opposite shoulder. The handle is off-center, so carrying it with the handle is a bit awkward.
The bag also doesn't hold its shape terribly well, so it is often smooshed down in the middle when carrying it. I would prefer a bit more structure to the bag.
Don't get me wrong, though. I really love this bag.

It has a good capacity and inner organizationl sleeves and pockets. One is even zippered. If you add a few of your own organizing containers available here at STP you'll be set. The sling is very cool and comfortable to me.Finally a bag that is not to big,not to small.

Took a while to find, but glad I did By Social worker extraordinaire from Rochester, NY on 06/13/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Work/laptop bag Describe Yourself: Career, Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bag was little bigger than expected, but it is a good thing because it holds everything I need, including my laptop in it's own case (which is needed b/c bag is not padded). So far it has worked out excellently for me.
Sturdy enough for textbooks and a laptop By John the Student from Radford, Virginia on 06/05/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality, Long Strap, Sturdy Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations, Lugging Textbooks, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented, Practical, Student on a budget Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed a large-capacity, heavy-duty bag for carrying textbooks and occasionally a laptop to classes and work. Plus, I'm tall, so I needed an extra-long strap. This bag fit the bill perfectly!

By doneygal from Louisville, Kentucky on 05/17/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality, Light-colored interior Best Uses: School and 17" laptop Describe Yourself: Classic, Crunchy-granola, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great bag--the organizer section is nicely sectioned for my "geek gear" (mechanical pencils, pens and calculator). It doesn't offer the protection of my heavily-padded laptop bag, but the Overland holds a notebook, folders, a textbook or 2 and the computer. I also tuck a small flattish handbag in it for when I need to go to class and run errands or go to work.
