It just arrived and I couldn't be happier--can't wait to try it out when winter arrives. It's very well made and should keep me warm, dry, and stylish. The tweed is really lovely (the photo doesn't do it justice) and a great alternative to all the brightly colored sporty parkas out there. I followed the advice of earlier reviewers and sized up--I'm a 4 or 6 at most "mall" stores, and the size 8 fits me perfectly with room for a midweight sweater and baselayer underneath. Thanks, Sierra Trading Post and Lole!

The styling is so cute (love the elbow detail to allow for more movement). the asymmetrical flap across the chest really blocks the wind and adds a bit of style. The color is really beautiful and as another reviewer said, it feels and looks like a luxurious tweed. The detachable faux fur is some of the nicest I've ever seen and looks so cute! I won't be removing it any time soon. After living in Boston, I know how much the fur around your face blocks the wind and the warm insulated hood actually fits as opposed to being too big or too small. The hand gaiters were a huge plus and fit nice and tight unlike a Spyder that I tried. The zipout powder skirt is a bonus because I hate having to keep it in there if I'm just going out on the town. So glad there are pit vents - those make a huge difference when skiing or just going around town. Love love love this jacket, I couldn't be happier!!! Cute for skiing or wearing it right into town. Everything that people said about ordering a size larger is so true. I am a 4/6 and am SO glad that I ordered an 8. It fits perfectly with enough room for a base layer and maybe a fleece.
GREAT COAT FOR COLD WEATHER By A TENNIS LOVER from CENTRAL VIRGINIA on 04/11/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: 17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER KEPT THIS AND RETURNED A JACKET SHE HAD BOUGHT. MOTHER WOULD HAVE KEPT IT IF DAUGHTER DIDN'T WANT IT. NO ZIP OUT LINING, SO FOR COOLER WEATHER ONLY.

The fabric is much nicer than it looks in the pictures. I decided to go with a longer length jacket, but would recommend this for someone looking for a hip-length jacket.

It was snowing and freezing cold. I love the pit-zips. It was so warm that I only wore a t-shirt under it. It also looks great. I love it.

Its lovely tailored lines and smoothly-finished fabric make it very stylish. It has tons of pockets and lots of detachable parts to lighten it up if you're not skiing. The zipper cover flap fasteners close so tightly that the jacket isn't a quick on and off, but they may loosen up in time. It's very well-made, extremely warm for its weight, and the detailing is AMAZING. Yay Lole!!
