Definitely LIGHTweight.... very thin. By Outfitter from NC on 11/04/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered several of these and immediately sent them back after I opened them. It claims to be "midweight" but was VERY thin material. They are seconds... but even through the package you could see some seems unraveling.
By Aurora from Encino, CA on 10/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Easily, Good Fit, Good Protection Describe Yourself: Getting Started Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this balaclava under my mesh fursuit head to help keep sweat away from the construction. I plan to build my next head on this kind of balaclava. Highly recommended!
The only thing I'd have negative to say isn't really a negative for my use - but the material seems fairly thin and I don't think it would hold up long (or keep you warm) in very cold temperatures.
does what it's supposed to do 4 $[$] By mrvegiboy from anchorage, ak on 09/28/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Easily, Good Fit, Good Protection Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cross Country Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not the thickest baklava I've ever owned but I'm thinking it's going to do what I need it to do even if I'm out all winter day in Anchorage, Alaska. Just to be on the safe side you may want a balaklava made out of thicker material if you are going to be out in really cold or windy weather though.
By cc-ak from Alaska on 09/16/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Easily, Good Fit Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Works good to keep the wind off your face. You can still breathe through it, but it does get wet after a while. Stretchy enough to pull below your chin when it gets warmer. Does need to be washed now and then.

The balaclava is very stretchable, allowing me to pull the bottom part down below my chin when it's not so cold.

Since it arrived it hasn't been cold enough to wear running, however I have been wearing it while walking around.
It is thin and small enough to easily carry in a jacket pocket.
