By Whitewater Diva from Asheville, NC on 08/01/2008 Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The size was too small. I tried it on and immediately thought that it was uncomfortable. There is a seam that runs right down the front. The hole for the eyes and nose is SOOOOO small....would not recommend.
By AK Girl from Soldotna, Alaska on 07/31/2008 Cons: Poor Fit, Retains Odor Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Freestyle Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a small head and this was WAY to tight. The face opening is very small and obstructs your view. It may be great for a child, not for an adult. It also bunches on the neck.
By Deb the Hiker/Biker from Cleveland,OH on 07/07/2008 Cons: Seam down front rubs nose Best Uses: Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Everything about the product is pretty basic, except for the fact they put a seam down the front right across the nose and chin area. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a flat seam, but it isn't. It is very annoying, can't even tell if there are any good qualities, can't wear it long enough beacuse of the seam.

By Runner from Sweden on 03/28/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable to wear, Dries Easily, Good Fit, Good Protection, Warm Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill, Freestyle, Jogging Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Jogging, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a good product. It fits tight to the face and follows every movement of you head like a second skin. It is very comfortable to wear and is very soft, warm and easy to breathe through. The price is very good. There is a seam that runs along the front of it which looks good. It was standing up a little the first, but became more like a flat seem after I have ironed it. Comfort is everything when you use it for many hours and this product really works. It also looks very cool with the semi shiny fabric.
By Newbie mountaineer from Puyallup, WA on 03/25/2008 Pros: Cheap, Good Protection, Warm Describe Yourself: Getting Started Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I like that it covers a little more of the neck than some other balaclavas I have tried. It has a snug fit so it keeps pretty warm.
There is a very annoying seem that goes right over my nose and mouth that I just can't stand. Basically it's just a low price for a cheap design.
I will use it but I wouldn't recomend it to a friend.
Great idea but needs better design. By Minnesota Camper from Duluth Minnesota on 03/23/2008 Pros: Good Protection, Warm Cons: Not Breathable, Poor Fit Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Cross Country, Downhill, Freestyle Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The idea of the balaclava is great but the seeming on the product is poorly positioned right on the middle of the nose and does not lie right on the face. It is uncomfortable.
Not quite what was expected By BoxnBead from Memphis, TN on 03/13/2008 Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This was a bit too tight on the head and with the seams going down the center of the face, the tightness around the nose and mouth was very uncomfortable. It was the only one I could find quickly to order for my ski trip. Live and learn!
