Would be nice to have velcro here and there around the brim to turn a side of the brim up as desired for specific situation or fun.

When paddling into the p.m. sun, I couldn't lower the front brim enough the keep the sun out of my eyes. So not ideal for that.

The brim is rigid and so is perfectly flat with no style or shape to it. The hat part is very adjustable which is nice. Even if the ventilation strip was white instead of black it would not be SO ugly.
I got this for a great price and will seriouly only use it for gardening in the back yard. I just hope my husband doesn't hurt himself laughing at me in it!

Mesh section allows air flow. I thought I'd cut the chin strap off but glad I didn't since it keeps you from having to chase a hat when the wind is gusty. Adjustable size cord around head actually keeps that from being an issue but added chin strap is piece of mind. I bought one for self and reordered one for mom! I'd buy in other colors if they had it.
