By JT from South Royalton, VT on 10/18/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The fleece layer in this hat is light, making it perfect for cycling to campus on cold Vermont mornings. It is thin enough that the hat will layer under bike helmets and potentially climbing helmets. It is a perfect weight for any moderate cardio activity down into the twenties. I haven't had a chance to test it below that, but I expect it will become my favorite hat for ski tours. One drawback- there are two small loops at the bottom of the earflaps, and no built in way to secure them to prevent flapping. This isn't a big problem, and the fantastic value of the hat more than justifies tying something on there in the few necessary situations. If this hat looked more "cool" I think it would be extremely popular.
By Hiker from WV on 10/17/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Breathable, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold inclement weather, Hiking Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just had a chance to try this out in windy, 30 degree weather. My head stayed toasty, while the hat seemed relatively breathable as well. The front visor is shorter than normal and can be flipped up. This helps when ascending a trail or when using a headlamp at night.

The lightweight is nice , but it does have a slight Elmer Fudd appeal. Great hat for the price!!!

By Mirandamom from SLC, UT on 10/13/2009 Best Uses: Winter outdoor activity Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The hat seems comfortable and warm, but it is so unflattering that I'm returning it anyway, and I'm not particularly vain in general.
By Steven from Chicago on 10/13/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The ear flaps flip up,exposing my ear lobes. The whole point of a hat like this is to NOT expose my ears. In that, the hat is a failure.
