The hat is very comfortable.
The BEST Watch Cap available! By Aerospace Tech from Palmer, MA on 11/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Military accessory Describe Yourself: Outdoors oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This hat has been a godsend since the temps have plummeted- this is MILES better than our issued 100% wool hat! It retains it's shape better, isn't scratchy or bulky, and blocks wind much better! I was pleased to find one that is uniform-color approved!
By bugeaterz from Portland, Or on 11/10/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Working in cold weather Describe Yourself: Casual, Practical Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Traditional look and feel, it can be a bit itchy initially but the hat becomes more confortable as you were it. Looks great w/ black wool coat and jeans.
By sam from seattle on 11/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I work outside and am outside with my dog after work. I have been looking for a really warm wool hat for a long time. Unfortunately this is not it. It is a nice hat for doubling up because it is thin, but I was hoping for a thicker more substantial wool hat.
Good Cap, just didn't work for me By AZ Dude from Arizona on 11/06/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Much nicer than the wool military cap and softer too. But, I have very sensitive skin when it comes to wool itch and a real short haircut. The Merino wool used in this cap is fairly soft but still rather itchy for me, it would probably be great for the average user with less sensitive skin and/or more hair.
By Roger from Monterey, CA on 11/01/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Commuting, Evening, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice wool cap, better than the one I had in the navy. It's a hat and should serve its purpose.

By I love a bargain! from Providence, RI on 10/29/2009 Pros: Adjustable, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this cap in grey, black, and dark brown. Its merino wool is very nice. These caps will definitely keep our heads warm in our New England weather and is long enough to cover our ears, which is a huge plus! This is a practical, functional, well-made product. I rated this four stars because the fit looks a bit off, although I prefer warmth and comfort over fashionable hats in freezing-cold wet weather.
By Chris TKD from Virginia on 10/29/2009 Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: It's a basic knit cap. The trick on these types of caps is the seam where the sides join around the head. The seam on the Glover watch cap is very prominent and shows as a slight bulge when worn.
I didn't find the merino wool to be noteworthy. Overall, I was disappointed and will be returning the cap.
