By texas1 from texas on 02/10/2009 Pros: Snug Fit, Warm, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If you need dexterity - these are not the gloves for you. If however, you need to be outdoors for an extended period of time and want to keep your hands warm - these are the best.
The mitts I've been waiting for By like it simple from Western Massachusetts on 02/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Grip, Snug Fit, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Working Outdoors Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been waiting for the right mitts for winter mountaineering and plowing snow with an open tractor on my long driveway during the winter, both of which require some (but not a lot) dexterity and insulation that can handle holding a cold ice axe or steering wheel. While my hands used to handle the cold well, circulation issues make very cold whether hard for me. These mittens have been perfect, and my hands stay warm. Sizing wise, I was debating a medium or a small. (I measure in the small range.) I fortunately chose medium, and they are just right (and slightly snug).
By Lkwbebf from Duluth, MN on 02/09/2009 Pros: Durable, Good Grip, Warm Best Uses: Outdoor low activity Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great for watching outdoor hockey games, where we are just standing around!
By Wanda the Walker from Aspen, CO on 02/06/2009 Pros: Durable, Snug Fit, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Hiking/Running Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Mittens much what I expected after reading other recommendations...extremely warm, big, bulky, total loss of dexterity. But bought for warmth, for walking in bitter cold...and they are perfect for that!
By SteelerNation Guy from Pittsburgh, PA on 02/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Skiing, Working Outdoors Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this mitten for outdoor living, shoveling snow and skiing. It's a little bulky for the ski poles but do-able. I usually wear a mens large but ordered and XL and fits perfect. Ordered a mens large for my G-Friend who has small to medium size hands and it fits nicely. So these mits (inner lining) run 1-2 sizes small so order up. Great mittens.
First warm mittens I've ever owned By None from Norway, Maine on 02/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Snug Fit, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Cons: Poor Grip, Too Bulky Best Uses: Backcountry, Working Outdoors Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: All other gloves and mittens I've used for snowblowing have not kept my hands warm. But these really work and besides keeping warm I also keep dry.

By Snowboarder from Richmond, VA on 02/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Amazingly warm, comfortable, and they fit great. They are a bit bulky, and it's a little hard to grip small things, but that's something that you have to expect with mittens this warm.
By AK Go Girl from Wasilla, Alaska on 02/01/2009 Pros: Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Snug Fit, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The fleece isn't as good as the thumb area for wiping your nose. Once the fleece gets wet it scrapes your nose and the next day you look like WC Fields. But the thumb material is perfect for runny nose-wiping.
The inner liners are very warm in themselves, and pretty easy to stuff back in.
They have hang-on strings which are detachable--great idea!
They fit very small. I am a mediaum sized woman, and I had to exchange the med.s for large. Even they are snug.
The mitts are great for cold weather, and look cool!
