By Joe 6 Pack from North Dakota on 01/30/2009 Pros: Durable, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Working Outdoors Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bottom line, they keep your hands AND finger tips warm! Be careful what you consider using these mittens for as their dexterity is poor. I originally order medium and had to return them for large (Hint: order next size up).
So far their great. A little small . By jerry from three rivers michigan on 01/30/2009 Best Uses: Working Outdoors Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Use for snowblowing. Hands don't get cold.
By Stephangus from Boulder, CO on 01/26/2009 Pros: Durable, Snug Fit, Stylish, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Working Outdoors Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Construction looks real good. Design mostly works, although as mentioned the liners are sewn too narrow, I think, at least for the size large I purchased, in that there seems to be enough space in the outer mitt for a wider liner. I've worn the mitts without the liner and the liner without the mitts. Don't expect to be able to play the piano, push buttons on your dash or pull up door lock knobs.
By BBB from Boston, MA on 01/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Snug Fit, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are really great mittens! It was almost too warm for snowboarding, as soon as I took out the fleece lining it was just perrfect! Totally waterproof too, no complaints from me!
By Laura from Bismarck, ND on 01/22/2009 Pros: Durable, Good Grip, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered these because we are having the winter of my lifetime here in North Dakota. I have used the snow blower more this winter than in the past 8 years combined. I love being outside but my hands would get sooo cold. Now I feel like I could stay out there for hours. I love these mittens. I ordered a man's large based on prior reviews and they fit nicely.
By blue lightening from St. Paul, MN on 01/20/2009 Pros: Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Cons: Poor Grip, Too Bulky Best Uses: Casual Wear, Working Outdoors Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These mittens are very warm, but also bulky. Their bulk doesn't allow holding of small articles or doing things such as turning a door knob.
As noted, they run small. I am a average sized woman and after reading the reviews ordered a men's medium. It is maybe a little big, but not much.
small and bulky, as warned By cold fingers from Lexington, MA on 01/20/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Many reviewer warned that these mittens ran small. Large was the only size available so I took a chance. They were definitely too small.
I never wore them to learn more.
I liked the look and quality though.
By RockyMtnSpirit from Colorado Springs, CO on 01/20/2009 Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I couldn't really rate this product as to function as it was too short. I read the previous reviews which said to go up a size but it was still about 2" too short. I had to return them.
Great quality & warmth - but too small By None from MN on 01/19/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry, Working Outdoors Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Order next size up
By Pablo from Milwaukee, WI on 01/17/2009 Pros: Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Hiking/Running, Working Outdoors Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bullet proof, these things are well constructed and super warm. Will take the worst winter can throw at you. Well worth the price. They are big and thick, so at times dexterity is sacrificed. Worth it to not freeze your fingers off. Just used them for all my outside work during our -20 cold snap.
