My hands are always cold and gloves will not do the job. This mitten is roomy and just warm enough for driving and for moderately cold winter walks. I would not use them in extreme cold or winter sports as they do not let the skin breathe.

For example, waiting at bus-stops and at outside subway/train stations; and, walking several city blocks. My hands are always warmer inside mittens vs. gloves. And, my hands are warm, for sure, with these mittens. There are no cons! I have been looking for years for something like these!
