By Jim the Runner (not your real name) from Middle of Illinois on 04/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily Cons: Not a snug fit, Not Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Driving, Hiking/Running Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The gloves were a little thinner than I expected. They were also longer in the wrist than I typically prefer. I usually wear a pair of Ragg wool gloves with a poly glove liner. With the extra-long wrist, it is difficult to remove and replace both pairs of gloves as a single unit.
By k9quila from california on 03/18/2009 Pros: Dries Easily, Snug Fit, Warm Best Uses: Backcountry, Hiking/Running Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used these backcountry skiing and they were great as liners in a mitten gortex shell. They are exactly what you should expect from wool gloves, the price can not be beat.
I would buy this product again By trailblaz55 from Dayton, OH on 01/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Snug Fit, Warm Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My husband works in a refrigerated company where the temp. is 35-40 degrees at all times. The only problem is that the gloves are not waterproof, but they do keep the hands warm.
By Mymil from Chicago, IL on 01/07/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Snug Fit Cons: Poor Grip, Wears Out Quickly Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These gloves would have been great... had they not begun to unravel immediately! I stashed them in a jacket pocket and used them very lightly, most for trips to or from a car, not for any serious or prolonged outdoor activity. Even with this light use, the tip of one of the fingers unravelled within a couple weeks of my owning them, and another one is coming undone after a month. Otherwise, they'd be great for when you need a bit of additional casual hand-warmth. They fit my hands (8.5/9, medium/large) great. The only other thing they lack is wind resistance, because they are wool knit, but they're fine when it isn't windy or with hands thrust in pockets. If I place another order from Sierra Trading Post, I would consider buying another pair because they're so cheap, and hoping for one with better construction.
By warm and fussy from San Francisco, Ca on 01/05/2009 Cons: Not comfortable, Poor construction Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking/Running Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Not the most comfortable gloves in the world, but they do get the job done...warm, but scratchy! The knitting is pretty loose, so my pair had a lot of lose threads. The cuff is generous and covers a lot of your wrist so no drafts. This is probably best used as a secondary or emergency pair of gloves. Not a bad price though for under $8...I think I've spent more at McDonald's before!

By Mister from Boulder, CO on 12/12/2008 Pros: Dries Easily, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Freestyle Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice gloves. Good weave, solid quality. The cuffs are really thick, great extra added protection.
Typically I only wear liners because I overheat ( I mean in seriously cold conditions, i.e. -50 F to -100 F), but these are great to have in the pack for after you stop skiing (when you're gonna start getting cold).
