By STW from Rocky mountains on 05/06/2009 Pros: Curved fingers, Warm, Water Resistant, Windproof Cons: Less isulation in thumb, Short fit of thumb Best Uses: Backcountry, Skiing, Winter motorcycling Gear Usage: motorcycling, Skiing, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The only problem with this glove is the odd construction of the thumb. The glove fingers are all well curved and long enough that my fingertips do not bottom out against the ends of the gloves--this is the right fit for warmth. However, the glove's thumbs are quite short compared to the fingers. My thumbtip bottoms out fully inside the glove's thumb, and long before the web of the thumb meets the gloves web. Don't use these with activities where you press something into the web of your thumb--you will just jam your thumb further into the glove. Cold thumb results. This thumb fit issue has not affected use in motorcycling and skiing where you do not press into the web of the thumb as in cycling, for example.
Also, the insulation is thinner in the thumb than in the fingers.
Cheep for a Go-rtex ski glove By NR from Brllingham on 03/22/2009 Pros: Good Grip, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The leather on the palms is thin. Ok for skiing won't be durable for rope work when climbing.
By rmorgent from Rochester, NH on 03/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Grip, Warm, Windproof Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good fit, and the fingers are very warm. I used it four times and once for Ice climbing, when weather was not too cold, and recommend this as a great price / benefit that compares to other famous brands.

By Skilak Jack from Alaska on 03/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been wearing these gloves when I ride my snow mobile. They seem to breathe well and are waterproof, but they are not very warm. The leather palms absorb the snow, get wet, then freeze. I am planning to treat the leather before my next trip. Even with these glitches you can’t beat the price.
By randy from Williamsburg, VA/Raquette Lake, NY on 03/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Grip, Snug Fit, Warm, Windproof Cons: Hard to don with wet hand Best Uses: Backcountry, Hiking/Running, Winter Camping Describe Yourself: Collegiate/Pro Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter camping, Winter Sports Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used these gloves on the coldest overnight of a recent winter camping trip in the Adirondacks. Normally, when the temps get down into single digits, I use mittens. I wore these gloves and my hands stayed warm the entire time.
At one point, I did some moist work with bare hands. When my hands were damp, I had trouble sliding them back into the gloves 'cause they got hung up in the lining. Otherwise, the gloves were just what I needed.

By Pablo McCasso from Tahoe on 03/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Grip, Snug Fit Cons: Not Weatherproof, Wears Out Quickly Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I had some older ones that were pretty good, but after I got 3 more pairs on sale, the leather on the fingers is way thinner, not sturdy at all, and doesn't seem to be treated with water repellent.
Semi-disposable.
