Kayaking instead of fishing
By kayaker from New York, NY on 06/11/2009
Pros:
Durable, Easy To Use, Functional
Cons:
Poor Design
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I purchased the gloves for kayking, the glove fingers were to long I had to cut them, bc they were longer than my fingers. Others the gloves are good, fit well, prevent blisters and protect from the sun with the light colors.

Poor fit
By 45fisher from VA on 05/07/2009
Cons:
Poor Construction
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
These would be nice, but the fit is poor and the stitching could be improved. As with similiar gloves the cheapest thread is used. The finger portions are way to long for my hands and fingers.I guess you can't make a product to fit everyone.

Smalls too big for my girly hands
By Fly FisherVerified Reviewer from Southwest Florida on 04/16/2009
Pros:
Great construction
Cons:
Not small enough
Best Uses:
Fly Fishing, Kayaking, Salt Water
Describe Yourself:
Professional
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I bought a pair of smalls, but they don't fit my hands. My boyfriend does fit in them perfectly. I wish they fit me, because the padding on the palm is perfect for a paddler, and the fly fishing stripping fingers are protected but stay nimble.

versatile and protective, a winner!
By Thom the camera toting hikerVerified Reviewer from Kirkland WA on 03/23/2009
Pros:
Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional
Best Uses:
Hiking with hiking sticks, Photography
Describe Yourself:
Novice
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I don't fish, but these are an EXCELLENT pair of gloves for hiking photographers. Very protective from sun and lightweight enough to use with hiking sticks. Combine them with a pair of glove shells and their usable temp range is very wide, especially compared to freezing your bare hands doing cold weather photography. And breathable enough to use on hot days, but sturdier than other sun gloves I have checked out. Green and white color doesn't seem to have the color bleed problem mentioned in other reviews. Size seems ok in palm and a bit large on the fingers. I might have to buy up a few pair before they disappear as an item. A winner!

Pros:
Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional
Best Uses:
Salt Water
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:

Comments:
One pair has held up to 30 full days of saltwater kayak fishing this year. Enough padding, sun, and abrasion protection without getting in the way, and tough as nails. Worn all day loading gear, paddling through all kinds of conditions, fishing and handling fish, cleaning up, then after every day a machine wash and dry they look like new. Still stretchy, not a seam frayed, velcro still like day 1.
