Glacier Fly Fishing Stripping Gloves
By Surffisher turned FlyfisherVerified Reviewer from So. California area on 03/03/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy To Use, Functional
Best Uses:
Fresh Water, Salt Water
Describe Yourself:
Beginner
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I purchased two pairs of gloves, one to give as a gift to a fishing buddy who is the trout-fisher and one to keep for my own use. I'm gonna try them when I attend a fly-fishing class this next month at a local beach. The protection of my indoor soft hands will come when I practice the many casts I make during flyrod casting techniques class and then try to cast a clouser fly into the So. California surf-fishing zone beyond the breaking surf waves in search of anything with scales/fins of the fishy nature. I am really pleased with the workmanship and quality of the design materials.

Pros:
Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional
Cons:
Index finger too long, Size runs large

Comments:
Index finger was too long for proper stripping of line. Cut it to proper length and used Fray Check on fabric to prevent fraying. Runs one size larger than normal. Otherwise, a great glove.

Because the index finger of this glove is too long, it is a poor choice for both fly fishers and those using spinning reels.

I have another pair of stripping gloves, but they are not as nice as this glove, and cost 3 times more. I will be ordering another 1 or 2 pair.
