You too can be a super hero By Lizagna from Madison, WI on 01/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Cycling, Layering, Running, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This top is both fun and practical, but if you don't enjoy standing out in a crowd, it may not be for you. My husband tells me I look like a super hero in it. I get more kicks out of pretending I'm a speed skater. (I'm a TERRIBLE ice skater, but it has that sleek, all-in-one piece look.) I use this for running or running errands--multi-purpose on a cold day. If it's cold enough to require the ear coverage, you'll want other layers under or over it. It has a great texture, wicks efficiently, and I find it very comfortable.
By Bicycle Commuter from Arlington, VA on 12/31/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Support, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Cycling Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love this top but wanted to provide a note about sizing because of an earlier comment.
I ordered a M and L - I'm usually an 8 or a 10 depending on the brand - I kept the M, which is snug and am ordering a 2nd.
While the L was not as snug around my torso (and looked a little nicer around my bra band because of it) the sleeves kept riding up - no fun in cold weather. As cute as this shirt is, I bought it for function and I do love how it helps me keep warm while cycling. It is short though so it'll likely show off your lower waist, not a problem when layering.
Gorgeous color by the way - much nicer than in the photo - the red is ever so *slightly* a day glo red so it looks more like the color of a summer flower - pretty and though red isn't all that great for visibility, this one is a slightly better. Nice material too - not thin but not bulky either.
Also agree that it'll ride up more when using the headband.
By Bicycle Commuter from Arlington, VA on 12/31/2008 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just tried on the L again - if you have the (weird feeling) constant sensation of the sleeves riding up your biceps and forearms - that's when you might want to consider a size down. (Size L too big and my arms are not small/super fit).
Forgot to mention that the M's snug feeling is good - it lets you forget about the shirt being on you.
Good luck!
By Betta from Minnesota on 12/29/2008 Pros: Headband is a great touch, Moisture Wicking, Snug Fit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Running, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Conditioning Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: great cold weather running top - keeps you dry. I layer this top with a vest and shell and run at night in Minnesota
Kind of silly, but kind of cool. By Sea Level from Cape Cod on 12/16/2008 Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is gimmicky but could have been handy for the trendy types. My only issue, although I would recommend sizing up a bit, is that it was too tight under the chin when the 'halo' is over your ears.
By 5K Runner from Logan, UT on 12/15/2008 Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: It looked like a good idea but the headband feature looked and felt really strange. The fit was too short. I sent it back.
By Colorado Biker Girl from Aspen, CO on 12/14/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Moisture Wicking, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Running Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shirt is really comfortable and stylish. The built-in headband adds a nice touch and is good for keeping your ears warm, but it can also feel a little restrictive during activities requiring a lot of head movement
By Running Mama from Portland, OR on 12/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Moisture Wicking, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Layering, Running, Snow Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this top - I use it for running and snowshoeing outside. It's perfect because I have large ears that get cold and result in horrible headaches and now I don't have to worry about getting up to the mountain to find I forgot a headband. I love Hind gear, but I always buy a size up in their tops - I'm 5'3" 120lbs and usually buy small, so the medium was perfect. I was a little worried because I hate things around my neck, but because the fabric is so soft and strechy it doesn't bother me. Despite my husband telling me I look goofy in it - I love it.
By Aunt Kiki from Elmhurst, IL on 12/01/2008 Cons: Poor Fit, Rides up when exercising Best Uses: Cold Weather, Gym, Running Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Looks great, very cute. Tried a couple different sizes, but had same problem with each. I'm a petite person, and this shirt just isn't long enough (even for me) in the torso. And..if you attempt to wear the headband, the shirt rides up even more.
