Tight fitting in a good way
By nyquistVerified Reviewer from CA on 05/28/2009
Pros:
Breathable, Lightweight
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Chest Size:
Feels true to size
Fit:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Some other reviewers mention this being too tight and feeling like it constrains their breathing. I ordered a small (my usual size) and at first, it did feel like it constrained my breathing a little bit. After being on the bike with it for around 15 minutes, I started to really like the tight fit. I think the breathing thing is just mental (for my body size/shape, anyway). As far as taking it off - I find it easiest to unzip the top, slide my arms out, and then pull it down my legs. It's extremely easy to take off that way. I was afraid that it might ride up and leave my back exposed, but because the fit is tight, it doesn't seem to budge. I'm using it as a base layer with some other clothes instead of wearing a bike jersey, and I think it is a good deal for that purpose.

This jersey is great only thing missing is sufficient pockets in the back for longer training or races. Is a great tri jersey for Olympic and sprint distances.

nice product, just sized wrong. I'm 5'9" and 150lb and bought this for tri's...I expected a snug fit, but not this tight - a medium was too small for me.

Comments:
I usually wear large, but got an XL here. It's still way tight. Would be OK for racing or triathlon at this size. I'd recommend going two sizes up if you want a more relaxed fit. Ventilation is excellent.

fits very tight, but that is how it is supposed to be. If you don't like a form-fitting tri top then order it 1-2 sizes larger. Works great for all three phases of triathlon.

Many have complained of this tops tight fit, I believe this top is designed to be worn as a triathlon racing top. its supposed to fit very snugly like a wet suit.

nice but tight
By avg2000miles/yearVerified Reviewer from Crestwood, KY on 01/08/2009
Pros:
Looks like a quality item
Cons:
Just too tight
Describe Yourself:
Avid Cyclist
Chest Size:
Feels too small
Fit:
Feels too small
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
My chest measures 43" at its largest. If I make the tape measure tight it is 42". If I take a deep breath and then use my muscles to expand my chest as much as possible it is 45" around. The XL is too tight for me to feel right about it. The zipper just seems overstressed when I zip it up. Unfortunately STP is out of XXL.
