By Mr. Deadline from Trenton, NJ on 08/12/2009 Pros: Easy To Read, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Formal, Travel Describe Yourself: High End Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Worn this watch daily for more than a year, making trains and planes on three continents. It gains 15 seconds a week, runs down if not wound after 35 hours. Band stretches to fit comfortably after a couple of days, then stops. Watch doesn't.
"Great Buy for the money" By CG from Colorado on 04/08/2008 Pros: Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Formal, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Beautiful watch that can be worn everyday.
Nice Watch, for little people. By Sparky from DFW, Texas on 03/29/2008 Pros: Good Quality, Stylish Cons: Watchband for pygmies Best Uses: Everyday, Formal, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice watch. Band is like not even close to being long enough. I am large framed, but most bands fit fine on thier largest settings. Not even close here. Buyer beware. I returned item.
It's what's inside that counts By bmauers from Pittsburgh on 01/01/2008 Pros: Good Quality, no battery, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Formal Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's a lot of money for a watch to be sure. However, the very same 2824 movement can be found in watches costing 2-5 times as much. As the other reviewer stated, this is not a quartz watch: it's not as accurate, costs more, and will stop if not wound daily. So why would anybody want one? Because it was made by the hands of a master craftsman with enough skill to cram a hundred tiny parts into a small case and create an elegant, functional work of art.
By Pistol Pete from Darien, CT on 09/07/2007 Pros: Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish, Very high quality Describe Yourself: High End Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very, very high quality for the price. First Generation's are rapidly disappearing from the marketplace. By the way...description should be corrected...this is an automatic (self-winding) watch. The word "quartz" is misleading. While very accurate, it is NOT quartz accurate, and it is not a quartz watch as stated previously.
