Very comfortable light hikers By Mike from Benicia, CA on 04/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Patagonia Vagabonds are very comfortable and somewhat different looking (sort of funky, in a good way) light hiking boots. The leather uppers are covered by a nylon canvas which I assume is to provide some protection from abrasion. The Capilene lining has a very cushy feel and the footbed and insole provide good support (at least for my feet). I didn't "upsize" as STP recommends and the fit is fine, but would suggest doing so if you wear thicker socks. Haven't tested the Vagabond's waterproof properties yet. These are very nice boots with Patagonia's earth-friendly design and construction as a bonus.
By eugene from milpitas, ca on 04/25/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoe is wider than most boots, and it is extremely comfortable. Very good traction. I haven't hiked in them yet, but I use them as my motorcycle boots, and it is easy to push my motorcycle around.
