Comments: Just returned from a weeklong canoe trip in the Atikaki wilderness in northern Manitoba with a Scout troop. We all used these mugs (w/ lexan spoons) as our ONLY eating utensils. The lid on these mugs allows the camper to cleanup all residue by adding 50-100 mL of water, shaking vigorously, and drinking up the "leftovers." There are no solids, then, that ever enter the washwater when cleanup occurs. One person accidentally lost his grip on his Nalgene drinking bottle and ended up using his Fair Share mug as his 1-liter drinking bottle for the remainder of the trip. The handle has convenient holes and slots for use with a carabiner. If the handle were removable I'd have awarded the mug 5 stars but its current design makes it somewhat difficult to pack tightly. If the user is crafty many items can be packed inside of the mug to make up the difference in bulkiness. Several of us cut short or bent (by melting) our lexan spoons so that they would fit inside of the mugs.

Comments: I take my lunch to work in it! Already gave 2 to my brother. For backpacking probably not friendly enough if trying to economize on space.

Comments: These cups are solid and durable and the lid fits securely. For backpacking, it is too big to snap to a carabiner (highlighted feature) and have bounce around the outside of your pack. Definitely will live up to its FairShare name when dinner time comes around.

This is a solid bowl/mug that allows you to pare down one or the other if you generally take both. The screw top lid also lets you use it as food/miscellaneous storage in your pack. If you're an absolute minimalist, it's probably a bit of overkill - but if you like a comfortable eating experience (especially if you cook couscous, pasta, or anything that requires additional prep or dishware) this mug is excellent. Added bonus: just put hot water in, screw on the top, shake a couple of times....and dishes are done!
The Lexan plastic is bomber, and the cup seems built to last. The main drawback is the size of the handle, which can get in the way when packing this item.

Comments: It is bulky for backpacking, but you can pack your food in it. The measurements are easy to read and the lid fits well. No spills so far. I take granola to work and add milk when I get there.
A little bit big but glad I ordered it
By Rookie from Sacramento CA on 5/13/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Lightweight, Tough
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments: Didn't realize I was buying 32 oz size but it worked out alright. Was able to store food inside cup while hiking. The only problem I had was with the handle. It feels fine in your hand but a little annoying when packing. It's made to be hung on the outside of your pack but I prefer it inside.

Comments: Nice big "mixing" bowl for trips away, makes a nice storage container for things you might need in between stops on the trail w/o digging in your pack.
