Combined with Patagonia's legendary quality, a great deal all-around.
Comfortable & worth every penny By Fordo - former outdoorsman from Cincinnati, Ohio on 08/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Personally, I think these shoes look good but many don't. I don't care. What I really care about though is that they're comfortable...and they are! While they're a little stiff initially they are too bad and can easily be worn immediately.
Just a note on sizing: I typically wear a size 12. I easily toed out in Patagonia's size 12 and had to order a 13. No big deal. One typical Sierra Trading Post exchange (easy) later and I have a great pair of shoes for kicking around.
Patagonia Cedar - love these shoes! By KDubs from Boston, MA on 08/06/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got these as a half step up (classy wise) from the Patagonia Honeydew (which is pretty much my favorite shoe). Love the style, so comfy, will wear them with jeans, khakis, whatever.
Nice concept, poor execution By Elvischrist from Vancouver BC on 07/29/2008 Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual, Conservative Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered one pair my regular size and it was a struggle to put them on. I exchanged for a half size larger, and it was still a struggle to get my foot in the shoe. Once on, the fit was OK but there was no arch support. They look cool but I can't wear a shoe without arch support. I love Patagonia's products and their philosophy but these shoes miss the mark.
By Joe from Tempe, AZ on 07/28/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shoes, but the color was an awful washed out green. I guess I need to look up CEDAR in the dictionary.
By eardoc from Russell Pa on 07/21/2008 Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a fairly small foot and I've never had to return shoes before for being too small. We like your merchandise in general but these are the second set of shoes we've returned because the sizing was inaccurate
By Jim from Punta Gorda, FL on 07/20/2008 Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Unable to wear due to small size. Ordered a size larger but received slides not oxfords. Reordered oxfords a size larger and expect to receive them next week. If they fit I will be happy to comment on them.
Excellent casual dress shoe By Sandy Valley Sam from Sandy Valley, NV on 07/20/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Great for the office Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A dressy causal moccasin with a very comfortable sole -- great for teachers or professionals who are on their feet for extended periods.
Great shoe but smells rubbery By Love Quality from Florida on 07/16/2008 Describe Yourself: Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe felt great right out the box - very light & comfortable. Only one problem - these shoes smell like you're in a rubber factory!!! Make sure you keep the windows of the car wide open when you wear them. I would recommend these, but only if you like rubber.
By Bob Shoeman from Michigan on 07/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Light snug soft Cons: Feel like watersocks, May not last, Unstable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are sort of weird, they have a very soft sole and feel like driving shoes or wrestling shoes. Very light. The sizing is good, but mine had to stretch out a little. I'm worried the sole is going to wear out quickly, but so far so good. Over all I like these quite a bit.
