This is a great shoe, worth every penny By Denver Guy from Denver, CO on 06/26/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The ONLY bummer about this shoe is that the rear leather wears out quickly due to the low profile of the shoe. Otherwise, these shoes are very comfortable and well made.
By LazyClimber from San Francisco Bay Area, CA on 06/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Fashionable, Lightweight Cons: Not enough arch support Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are a nice pair of sneakers. I received a lot of compliments on the style of the shoes. They don't have enough arch support. I used a pair of superfeet insole to replace the originals. It works fine now.
By VanIslander from Victoria, B.C. on 04/02/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: What is up with the rubber rind stopping before the heel? When we sit down we instinctively rest our feet on the heels and there is ZERO rubber in the heel box to keep this shoes together. The leather above my heel wore out in 2 weeks.
By PhilS from Saint Louis, MO on 04/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Looks Great, Stable Cons: Leather so can get warm Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear, Travel Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are not your Chuck Taylors or "daps" of old. I never liked Chucks, no support, flimsy canvas and hard rubber not a good combination to prevent pinching. It was better to go barefoot.
When another review said they have a low heel, I thought they'd be flat like Chucks. The heel does feel low because the nicely molded foam insole (that is covered with leather.) With my high arch, I guess I actually like the support mid foot.
The rest of the shoe is fanastic. They feel like they were shaped to my foot. I can snug them up without any tight spots or gaps. For leather they don't feel too stiff, but still feel thick. Over time they will conform to my feet even better than they do now.
These are now my favorite shoes.
The sole is not too grippy, maybe a tad slippery on painted concrete floors.
There is a raised seam on the outside that is "distictive." But that means no seam inside. With the leather insole and lining I bet these would be good even without socks.
I can't overstate how well they fit right out of the box.
By Jim from Silver City, N.M. on 03/31/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ordered a pair for me and after trying, ordered a second pair as a gift. Good looking shoe that handles casual office wear with style a notch above a sneaker. The materials are high quality and I particularly like the leather upper, color is great and it's substantial. Great with jeans or khaki's.
By L&M from Woodstock, MD on 01/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Looks Great Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Look great, not a huge amount of support. The soles look like they might not last too long though.
