I usually use a sole insert to support my feet/arch and they will not comfortably fit in these.

I previously had the ones without the rope on the side and wore them almost every day for months because they were so comfy...I think they look fine (not great), but I got lots of compliments on them too. So this summer I bought these and they're the same - great. I have them on right now.
