By krakatoa from kcmo on 10/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Heel slipped some in the beginning. These will need some breaking in, but will be worth it in the end. A bit warm, not for summer hiking.
give it a couple hikes to break in By climb from lake tahoe, ca on 10/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: When I first tried them on the heels felt large and was slipping. I had read other reviews that commented on that factor and said it got better as the shoe got worn. I agree. Just after 2 days of wearing them the heels no longer slips and they are very comfortable and sturdy.
Runs Small - ouch too tight! By Lil Ms E from Mill Valley CA on 10/10/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the shoes but tight and smaller than expected - you one half size for sure.
Nice shoe but not for me ... By nor cal gal from nor cal on 10/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe seems to be very well made. Everything fit well - size, width - EXCEPT the heels. I have narrow heels and the heels were slipping despite wearing thick hiking socks, so I will return - too bad!
By Chica from Alta California on 09/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really wanted to keep these shoes. They seem well-made and appeared to give good support. Unfortunately, my heel was slipping from the get-go, so I will be returning.
By Dee from Portland, OR on 08/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear a 6.5. With any hiking/running/exercise shoe I wear a 7. I like the extra room so I can wear heavier socks and to accommodate any swelling of my feet. The 7 is a perfect fit. I live near several parks with trails that aren't always in the best shape. These are great. They give me a little extra stability and support without having to use my heavier hiking boots.
By mtn grl from idaho on 07/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Cons: Tongue slides sideways Best Uses: Casual Wear, Daily Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Haven't had these for long, but so far so good! I tried them side by side with another pair of "approach shoes" and liked these better for their softer, better padded inner lining, lower cut around the achilles and ankles (don't put pressure on those areas), slightly wider toe box and overall lighter feel. I have a narrow foot with very narrow heel and these work fine - I can tighten the laces down as needed for support, but don't have to crank them just to get a non-sloppy fit.
By Mom driving in circles from Utah on 07/21/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Hiking and camping Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought a pair for my dayghter who is working as a camp counselor, and she loved them so much I got her a second pair. She wears either pair every day and prefers them to the hiking boots she has. She does have narrow feet, so I think they must run a little narrow. She likes how the soles grip the trails and how great they feel all day long. They look great too!

By Love to walk from Northern New Mexico on 06/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Versatile Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It'a great to find a light hiker sized for narrower feet. The bottom is a little stiff so give it some time for breaking in. Runs 1/2 size small. Looks cool—unlike most heavier-duty hikers.
