Trail hiking. They are attractive enough for general casual wear. In fact, I ordered a second pair very similar to these.

AHHH! I have very big & wide feet! It is almost impossible to get durable, quality shoes at reasonable prices. The first time I put these shoes on, I knew they were perfect! I wore these shoes at an all day shop-a-thon at IKEA & then on to the Outlet Mall; my feet felt wonderful! The only complaint I have are about the shoe laces, they seem whimpy for such a rugged shoe....

I bought these shoes for my daughter because she is a summer camp counselor. She loves the fit, and I loved the fact that I could get a durable womans shoe in her size (us12) without having to spend over $100

I haven't used these hiking yet, but for my everyday walks they are super comfortable. I also really like that I can wear them with jeans, they are also stylish! They feel like a cross between running shoes (with cushion step) and a hiking shoes.

I've been looking for a replacement for my Kayland approach shoes since I wore them out trekking in Nepal and Australia and am very happy with these. Comfortable out of the box, snug up nicely (old Kaylands had asymetical lacing, the extended lacing on these works just as well), attractive for everyday wear if I like, and did nicely last weekend in Tahoe with snow, ice, and rain.

Comments:
I have three pairs of the Huckleberry. I wear these shoes to work which involves running to catch a train, walking and climbing stairs in a big office building, going for long walks at lunch. I use these shoes when I bike to work (12 miles each way), which I do once a week. I wear these shoes when I hike or climb. I wear these shoes to church. Basically, I love these shoes. They are comfortable, stylish, light weight, come in nice colors, supportive and flexible. They hold up a long time. I am recovering from plantar faciitis, so I wear these with custom orthotics. And the price is good. These are great value.

Loved the look of the shoe. A little stiff but not uncomfortable. They would be good for everyday walking on paved areas. I would not recommend them for long hikes.
