I just added an adjustment pad from a bike helmet and it took care off the fit. You can crush this hat and it goes right back to size.

It was of very good quality and clearly waterproof. As a backpacker, I was looking for something with a broad brim (which this had in spades) but also something crushable (which this is not). Most of the instructions that came with the hat were about how it had to be brushed after getting wet and how it had to be stored to retain its shape: a bit too high-maintenance for me and the uses I had for it. Also, though it is stylish, I wasn't fond of the leather headband.
