By susieo from Columbus, OH on 03/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I think this jacket is a good value. The fabric is not top of the line Spyder gear but it has all of the pockets, same high quality assembly and very stylish like their top of line products. The comments from other purchasers were right on. It is cut very small and is not made for cold skiing weather. I was in Vail with 30-50 degree weather and it was perfect. I would recommend it.

Great design if just wanting a shell By Nici from Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, UK on 05/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a shell only jacket which is perfect if you want to be in charge of your own level of insulation. Fitted style, glad I bought a size up as another reviewer suggested. Will have room for two tech layers and fleece under as necessary. Not yet tested in snow conditions, waiting for next season. I'm confident product will be up to the job.

This jacket is perfect. Not snug at all for me. Lightweight, yet warm. I wear three layers under it and still have plenty of room. Looks great too. Very durable and well made, as are all Spyder products.
Great snug & form-fitting - smaller fit! By East -West Coast Novice from Maryland on 01/14/2008 Pros: Durable, Figure Flattering, Form fitting looks great, Lots of Pockets, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: READ PREVIOUS COMMENT - VERY TRUE HERE!
I'm 5'2" and 110 lbs and ordered the medium size based on the previous rater's comments. INCREDIBLY glad that I did - it's a perfect fit with a little room for a couple more layers underneath. Skied for sseveral hours in this jacket with a couple layers underneath while in zero degree temps with gusty winds and my body was still warm.
ORDER one size LARGER than you normally would, as these jackets are cut to better fit taller girls on the slimmer side.
Overall, really nice jacket that I can easily move in with a lot of handy pockets.

Otherwise - fits snug!
By KK from CT on 01/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was extremely disappointed in that this coat was purchased for skiing, however it is only a shell and not warm enough. I have worn my Northface under it and both layers together was warm, but this Spyder coat is tailored and snug and there's not a lot of room to wear anything underneath. Had I known, I would not have purchased -- or i would have purchased a size up.
Great coat for a shell though. Spyder does make a good product.
Too cold for winter skiing By JoAnne from Hyannis MA on 12/27/2007 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Coat is great looking on but you need one or two sizes bigger to fit across chest. I felt very cold in it and will need to use extra layers skiing in the winter. Spring skiing might be a better time for this coat.
