Irregular Size, Poor Quality By East Coast Commuter from Fairfield County, CT on 10/19/2009 Cons: Irregular Size, Poor Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Practical Chest Size: Feels too small Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this coat thinking it would be perfect for walking around a very cold and windy NYC winter. I usually wear a small or a size 4 in coats so I bought a size 4. It was SO small that I couldn't get the front to meet in order to button it. It was more like a size 0. Aside from that, I felt the quality was not as good as I had expected. I sent it back and didn't order another. Overall I was disappointed because this is what I really wanted.
By Spoo from Western Mass on 09/22/2009 Cons: Not Warm, Poor Material Describe Yourself: Classic, Practical, Stylish Chest Size: Feels too small Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I fell in love with this coat online and finally decided to purchase it. I ordered a size up and the fit was fine. However, it just didn't seem luxurious or of the highest quality. I debated about keeping it, and decided since I didn't love it to return it. I think its an okay coat, but not one that lives up to the reviews. What turned me off most was that the shearling felt thin and the coat felt okay for fall, but not for a New England winter.
By Rakhi's Mom from Kirkland, WA on 08/27/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic, Practical, Stylish Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I am usually size 14 but ordered 16 to make sure the coat fit. It was 2 sizes too large. Was expecting a luxurious lightweight coat. This one is quite heavy. The fur is somewhat "rough". Nice but not what I wanted. The garment is made of several "pieces" & for that reason does not look all that expensive. However, the price I got - with several "deals" combined - was so good I'd have probably kept the coat had I been able to order a smaller size in the "krek" but they were all sold out.
By Rose White from Charlottesville, Virginia on 03/28/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, practical, Sensible, Timeless, Versatile Best Uses: Everyday, Going Out, Office, Travel, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this coat so that I would be comfortably warm in the winter. (This year was a bit too cold for my everyday boiled wool jacket.) But I am so torn about keeping it. I value clothing that are well made, practical, long lasting and very high quality. And, I insist on only wearing natural fibers and materials-- wool, silk, cotton, leather, etc. This coat meets all those specifications. Plus, the brown color is quite lovely. The problem for me is that two years ago I went online to Sierra Trading and completely fell for another Aston style coat. When finally this year I decided to "bite the bullet" and make the purchase, I saw this coat, which was nearly $400.00 less. In other words, I went for practicality over style. For this reason alone, I am a bit disappointed; it's simply not the other coat. I will say that it would be difficult to layer this with a sweater as the fit is perfect for my buxom chest, which is great, but there's not any extra room in there. Also, I regret that the collar does not stand up. I have not yet been able to actually wear the coat yet, as by the time I got around to making the order and it arrived, the weather here was already warm. I did, however, put it on long enough to sit in my car to see how it would feel to drive in it. It's actually perfect! So, I remain torn, and will have to sleep on it yet another night. For those who like to keep it simple, as I try to do in my life, this coat fits the bill. If I do end up keeping it, I would expect it to last a good twenty years, at very least.
By glossygirl from NJ on 02/27/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: classic coat with styling that can go from the office, to going out or casual with jeans and is a perfect look with sherling boots. this is a warm beautiful coat with good weight, and does not feel restricting in the arm/chest area as some shealing or heavier coats do. the sizing is generous and a sweater or heavy shirt can be easily worn underneath.
By RoeRoe from New York City on 02/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight yet very warm, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Absolutely beautiful coat. I have several shearlings and this is one of the nicest. Sizing is generous but doesn't run as big as stated in the other reviews. The only complaint I have is the placement of the pockets. They are right in the mid section and when I place my keys and phone in them it looks too bulky. Otherwise a beautiful coat worth every penny!!
Great for this cold winter... By JC from Quincy, IL on 01/28/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered this in a size 10 and had to re-order in a 12. The sleeves can be rolled to whatever length that is comfortable or left down. Wearing it over a blazer is snug, but I feel a 14 would be too big on the shoulders. I normally wear a size 10/12 dress/blazer. Great coat. I love wearing it, especially this winter when it is so cold.

Its a beautiful fit. I got the coat I wanted without the high price tag. I highly recommend this coat to anyone looking for a beautiful leather shearling.
By Chantellio from West Hartford, CT on 11/10/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Formal Occasions, Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was heartbroken when I tried this gorgeous coat on and it was, sadly, much too big. The cut was for a much larger person, (both in height and overall size) and unfortunately I had to return it. The krek fabric is so soft and pretty, I hated to have to send it back. Very high quality!
By Michelle in Seattle from Seattle on 05/18/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Breathable, Comfortable, Versatile, Warm Cons: Big in waist and hips Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A really nice warm coat with style. The cut is a bit big in the waist and hips but still a good buy.
