Mountain, beach, restaurant or travel By Air_conditioned gypsy from Everywhere, USA on 02/18/2010 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Sport fit Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Outdoor Activities, Surf check, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical, Quality-conscious, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wool is back and better than ever. Polyester based materials are going to stink regardless of the anti-odor injected or type of detergent, your polyester product will stink. Invest in wool apparel. It releases heat you don't need and retains what you do. thinner baselayers dry quickly and dont retain odor post-wash. i'd wear this product cool to cold hiking/trekking/walking or bike commuting, during cool morning surf checks or out in Denver, Bay area, San Diego, Portland chicago or Atlanta.
Peace
Large front pocket, No hood By Ike from Maryland on 12/04/2009 Best Uses: Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I could not get over the sweatshirt pocket in the front, I would have rather it had no pockets at all. If if had a hood and was a wool sweatshirt than I might have kept it. Great item, but not what I wanted
By Tasker72 from Apex, NC on 11/23/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I love MH... that being said, this is not up the MH standard especially for the price.
The pullover is basic in design and function and shed so badly after washing, it mucked up my washer with fleece pillings AND for a fleece-SCRATCHY. Not something you "lounge" around the house or out on the town with.
Bottomline: it looks nice but it should NOT be priced that high. I have a Weekendz Off fleece that is VERY similar which was purchased for $20. Looks good but the value is poor which is disappointing. It's NOT STP's fault re: pricing as MH priced this soooo high that even a solid discount from STP could not make it worth it.
By Zag Mike from Seattle, WA on 11/22/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was pleasantly supprised by this sweater. I really like it and use it most days this winter.
By Nick from Craftsbury Common, VT on 07/25/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, High Quality, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Broke, Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Practical, Student Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a college student studying ecology in Vermont. I need to stay warm when I'm out in the field in the winter, but I don't have a lot of money for high-end outerwear. I was lucky enough to get this very cheap and thus far I'm pretty impressed with this pullover. It's very warm, stylish yet modest, and comfortable as a midlayer or over another shirt. My only gripes are that it's a tad bit itchy and slightly bulky. But those are simply the trade offs for wool insulation.
Love's Me Some Mountain Hardwear togs! By Frequent Buyer in Santa Fe from Santa Fe NM on 02/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Lightweight, Warm without weight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Lounging at home too, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like this soft, warm, and versatile dark gray pullover -- wool on the outside, poly fleece lining on the inside. No itching, but with the warmth and water repellency of wool facing the elements. Very comfortable and cozy, while being trim and with a flattering fit. Excellent quality, great details and touches -- I'm sold on Mountain Hardware -- got several excellent items from the here on STP! (At great prices, of course!)

By Rich from Skippack, PA on 08/25/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, High Quality, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually don't like the styling on Mountain Hardware clothing but this piece really impressed me. It is form fitting, with just the right amount of room striking a balance between looking good, feeling comfortable, and keeping me warm. This is a nice warm sweater/shirt that would be appropriate for wear during work, play, travel etc.. I purchased mine in charcoal gray and liked it so much I purchased another one in rust color. I love it!
