Mountain Hardwear Cordillera Pants By wool lover from burbs of Boston on 05/28/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Cons: Pockets ruin pants, Poor Fit Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Sadly I returned. I had to see for myself even though I read others comments about the "CON" of the pants. Pocket placement ruins these otherwise perfect pant.
By rural lifestyle girl from rural America on 05/17/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Flattering, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Busy office pants, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great pants - I read the comment someone else made about these basically being made for an hour-glass-body-type, and that is true, they are small in the waist and then they are roomy in the hips - not really stylish, but they are exceptionally comfortable, they are great for carrying a pack and that cut allows you to not have your pants dragged or rubbed down from your pack and I bought another pair to wear to the office. They are great for office wear because they look great and breath and don't choke you, when having to sit for hours and hours ... the material is thin and there are not parts of the pants where there are clumps of excess material. I am 5'7" and about 126 pounds and I fit the size 6 perfectly, I am a size 4 @ [...].

They would be great backpacking pants but are so attractive I use them for casual wear.

By busy mom of 4 from North Bend, OR on 04/16/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great pants. The ones I got were a little big, but there were none available in the next size smaller and two sizes smaller was WAY too small. I kept them because I liked them so well. Very comfortable, clean up easily, dry quickly. Look very nice too.
By Jacki from Sausalito, CA on 04/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very comfortable pants, shed dirt, and can sponge off stains. Light weight fabric, but yet feels warm enough in cooler temps with wind. The only thing I would change on the pants is that the hip pockets flare a little. I intend to add velcro to hold them flat on the sides.
By star gazer from portland,or on 04/09/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: the sizing is small. i am normally an 8- and had to go with the 10. I had to get the 10's hemmed and taken in at the waist- but it was worth it b/c the fabric is amazing and they are comfy. haven't worn them climbing yet but i think they will be perfect
Mountain Hardwear Cordillera Pants By Crickett from tucson, az on 03/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually wear a 14, and had to reorder for a 12, so I would say the size ran big. The pants look great! Not the usual baggy saggy look of hiking pants.
By palomasail from indiana on 03/24/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Packable Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Everybody is shaped different, so maybe these would work for someone else, but for me they just didn't fit. The hips fit ok, but the waist was too big. So many pants are cut as if one's waist is the same size as hips....
By SierraTradingPostShopper from Pittsburgh, PA on 03/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These will be great for travel-a good for whatever we'd like to do along the way.
