Great design and function By MtnMan from Conifer, CO on 01/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've used this jacket for skiing at a-Basin and it has the right warmth to weight ratio and fit for aggressive alpine skiing. Pit-zip should prove useful when it warms up. Good pockets inside and out for gear and a good functional hood.
By JL from Colo Spgs from Colorado Springs, CO on 01/14/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Waist length, which is not the norm these days. But, sleeves are long enough and it's more substantial than just a shell. For the $, great purchase!

By Grimbo from Northern, NJ on 01/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A great ski jacket with a good range of motion. Not sure how it will handle extreme cold as it's fairly lightweight. Comfy in the current 20 degree weather.
By Adam from Chicago, IL on 12/31/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Climbing, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: THis jacket is built really well, but I bought this jacket as a ski coat and I returned it because it was way too short. I read other reviews that said the same thing but i have a short torso and thought it might work. However this is not the case. This a great jacket for casual winter use but do not buy it if you plan on using it as a ski jacket.

By jim the runner from Northville, Michigan on 12/29/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For myself, the most impressive thing about this jacket is the fit. I'm a big guy (XXL, size 50 to 52). I've tried Northface waterproof shells (XXL) but they have always been too small (too tight in the shoulders and upper arms). Mountain Hardwear's XXL fits great with plenty of room and comfort.

By pete from Gloucester, Ma on 12/26/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great jacket. Very warm and comfortable. The large fits me perfect. The jacket may be a little short in length for most larges but that is what fits me best. More of an athletic fit. Zippers are a little small but I am sure they will be fine. Monkey fur inside is ultra soft, warm and cofortable. Have not used jacket for skiing but I think it will work well.
