They are very comfortable and have awesome support for the feet.
I would recommend to order them rather larger than smaller, 11 1/2 is listed as 44 but it really is rather 45.

I like to wear them with socks in the cooler weather. I have other Birkies. I love the support they give and the lack of weight especially when I pack a suitcase. I find that I have to order 1/2 size smaller than in other shoes. I waterproof them so they won't stain.
