I had to return them as I knew the lack of support would cause problems for my ankle and back.

Try pulling the outside and the inside away from each other; if they separate they are fake.

These were way too wide- I also noticed that they are unisex (women's 8, men's 7) so they were man-width. I've wanted a pair of these for a long time. Acorn wasn't the way to go. If you have a man-width foot they might work for you. I also suggest trying on a pair at a store- before determining the size you want.

They flop off my feet when I walk, causing an odd shuffley walk. They look huge and wide like moon boots.
They're going back. It's too bad.
