our house is cold and damp in the winter; these help me stay warm so i don't have to heat the entire house... and that helps save energy and fights global warming. Right?

The size chart was very accurate, too. Because it is unisex it has to fit men and women. Because of this it is too wide. But being for winter, I can take up some of the room with thicker socks. It does not detract from the comfort.
