My daughter wears a size 2 but I bought a size 3 to accomodate growth and thick winter socks. We were surprised to see that it fit just right while wearing thin socks. We decided to keep the boots as the insulation was warm enough even without heavy socks.
By mamabugabug from Bozeman,Montana on 02/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Snow, snowmobiling, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are really nice boots. They encouraged our 5 year old to learn how to tie her own shoes. Work very well in the slush. They kept her feet toasty warm all day.
By NA from CT on 02/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: All in, nice boots and good value for great waterproof kid boot (skiing/sledding/playing, et al). ONLY subtle downside is that they are quite "high" up the ankle/leg and hence a bit more difficult to get on. Furthermore, as they are tie up variety, a bit more cumbersome w/a 5 yr old then simple velcro, etc. However, I knew this "going in"... ;-) All in, great boot.

They kept his feet dry and warm!
By Tani from Merrillville, Indiana on 01/16/2009 Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This boot is nice to look at and very warm, but the shoe strings were a huge downfall for my seven year old daughter. They unraveled after about two weeks. The boot was warm and definately waterproof, but entry and exit was difficult. I've always trusted Columbia as a brand, in fact,I only wear Columbia boots in cold weather, but this boot did not work well for my daughter.
Some of the best we've seen By Mom of active, snow-lovin' kids from Payson, UT on 01/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If you are willing to take the time to tie boots, then these are awesome!! The material is warm on the inside and waterproof on the outside. The fit is snug so moisture can't get in at all. The first time my kids wore these was on a tubing excursion. They were comfortable for the ride there, the two hours in the snow (up and down the hill), and the ride home. They wear them to school and out to play in the yard. I like the way their feet sit up a little. The height of the sole keeps them out of some of the slush!

This is probably the 5th pair she's had- all different brands before- and she overwhelmingly loves these boots the most. She says these boots are more comfortable and warm and feel lighter. The laces are easy to use and let her get a better fit than the zipper closure or velcro she's had in prior snow boots.

bugabutto's. they are such a great deal....you can't beat the price.
