don't try to fix what is not broken By Rick the walking dead from Rio Rancho, NM on 05/25/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Durable, Easy to customize, Good Arch Support Cons: Causes Blisters, No more pads behind heels, No more pads over instep, Strap Chafes Best Uses: At The Beach, Casual Wear, Going Out, Trail use, Travel Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual, Function oriented, Value oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been wearing (and continue to wear various Teva shoes/sandals since the 1980s. My first was the original and used it for that purpose (US Navy Spec Ops 22yrs, they worked great going in and out of the water). The Trail Wraptor has been a very durable and good fitting sandal since I got my first pair. Since then I have continued to stay ahead of the game and continued to buy the 1st generation. I started looking for a new pair and found that this was the only site that had the old style Wraptors. (My feelings about putting all the toe gaurds on "sandals" is that why not buy a breathable water shoe?) Anyway! The heel pad is higher than the originals (and no cushion pads and there is no cushioning over the instep. Otherwise the shoe felt about the same.
Superior backcountry sport sandal! By Wild-Life Biologist from Eagle, Idaho on 04/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Arch Support Describe Yourself: Alternative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am on my 3rd pair of Wraptors because I wear them everyday in the summer and on weekends for hiking and play. I brought them along on a backpacking trip and when my boots caused blisters, I switched to the Wraptors the next day for a 9-mile day reconnaissance hike in Big Creek in Central Idaho with no problem. I've taken them rafting, hiking to hot springs and used them mountain biking in a pinch---strongly recommended for outdoor activities in almost all terrain.

By BeeGee from New England on 12/10/2008 Cons: Causes Blisters, Strap Chafes, Too Stiff Best Uses: At The Beach, Casual Wear Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: After using these throughout this last summer in bare feet I found them to be brutal and not at all comfortable causing extreme chafing. However, with shorty-socks on they were fine. Running = Absolutely out of the question!!!

It is the only sandal type shoe I can wear. I have two pair and hope they stay on the market for many years.
