By trail boss from new mexico on 10/06/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have very wide feet and find Asolo one of the few makers that fit me correctly. This is a great boot for day hiking, but I would not recommend it for those carrying heavy loads.
By nick from bozeman, mt on 10/01/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Sturdy/Durable Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Have only had these for a few weeks, but am very pleased, and am anxious to see if they turn out to be better than my previous hikers (Vasque Zephyr), which I loved. They feel very athletic, with a great, ergonomic fit. Gave them 4 stars, because I haven't had enough time yet to discern their true worth.

By bowhunter from Eastern Washington on 08/25/2009 Cons: Difficult Laces, Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my first pair of Asolo boots. They appear to be very rugged and well built for a semi-lightweight boot. In my opinion, they are slightly larger than what I was expecting. When I add my insoles, they should be a very good fit. It took about a week to get them broke in. I had hot spots in the outside toe and heel areas. The cross lacing at the top is not as easy as it should be. I have to skip the first set of hooks in order to relieve excess pressure at the hinge of my foot that the laces created. I purchased these to hunt in. I am expecting them to perform very well up until it gets really cold and or wet, then I will be switching to my thinsulate and gortex lined boots.
Great boot for the money! By Tim from Santa Clarita, Ca. on 08/18/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable Cons: Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this boot for an upcoming trip to Half Dome in Yosemite. I have had them for about two weeks. They are comfortable, but do require some break in. They are a bit heavier than I'm used to, but I wanted the better ankle support and traction that these provide. The main downfall is they are a bit stiff in the heel and ankle.
