Good quality but looks like clown shoes By forty-something fitness fanatic from Austin, TX on 07/28/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe has the quality one would expect from Merrell, and I think it would provide adequate cushioning and support for day hikes. Unfortunately, I had a lot of heel slippage which would've led to blisters at the ankle. The toebox also looked disproportionately wide and resembled clown shoes on my size 6 foot. I don't know if they were actually too wide, or if it was an illusion caused by the design of the shoe, but I couldn't get past the goofy appearance so I'm exchanging them for a different Merrell style.

By webbizy from East Bay, CA on 05/07/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoe is stylish but stiff and lacks adequate arch support. The shoe is fine for wearing for several hours but it lacks the characteristics that are synonymous with the Merrell name. But a good price.

By Krista from Ohio on 04/27/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this shoe to use when I go hiking, but so far I have only been able to wear them on a casual day. I ordered the tan/natural in two sizes (6 and 6.5). I kept the 6 because the 6.5 looked huge and felt big, too. The shoe has a good look and a comfortable fit. I still have yet to hike in them so time will tell with that. The 4 stars and "con" is because it is a heavy shoe, but you do need a good sturdy shoe when hiking. I have never been disappointed with Merrell and will continue to buy this brand.

Merrell trail Shoes: Chameleon II By sue from santa monica on 04/08/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Stable, Tru 2 size but roomy toe, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend True to size but very roomy toe box. I luv that, but if you have narrow feet it may feel too big.
Light enough - not bricks.
I'd never use them for sports but they're PERFECT for everyday running around use.
Incredibly comfortable & stable.
Highly recommend!
