I got more than I paid for. Looks good, even with mink oil applied. They are a bit stiff though, Duh! These are boots, not dancing shoes. I am happy with the boots [...] Thanks.

Good looking, great traction! By Mountain Wolf from The Woods! on 05/21/2008 Cons: Taking time to Break-in Best Uses: Casual Wear, Horse back Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, LIVE in the Outdoors Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this boot for horseback riding in the Mountains so I have a boot with good traction for those times I need to hike it. They are comfortable, but are taking time to break-in. They are stylish enough to wear to town too--AND they are built well so should be able to withstand the trouble I get into!

By Workergrrl from Phoenix on 05/15/2008 Cons: Stains Easily, Too Stiff Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend I bought these hoping they would be replacement boots for work (in light manufacturing, 10+ hours on my feet is common. Comfort is of paramount importance, followed closely by adequate ankle support.). The Roper boots I had been buying were no longer available.
Wasn't wild about the fact these are only available in a light tan nubuck suede -- but at the price, I decided to take a chance.
Wish that I hadn't. Entire boot is far too stiff. Sole doesn't bend enough, insole area has insufficient padding. Although ankle area is supportive, that's the only place stiffness works to advantage. Particularly annoying is the "dig in" factor at the abruptly-ending, far too stiff boot top.
Seems like the sole tread would wear really well, and toe rand is a nice feature.
I'm still returning my pair.
By k2 from the Bluegrass on 03/09/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I work hard in the barns, and expect a pair of boots to work just as hard. Although sturdy enough, these boots are not water resistant, they need a silicone added to them. They also don't have a true heel, so are not appropriate for going straight from chores to riding. A good value, though, most people should find them very acceptable.
