It's very comfortable and warm. I like the fact that the vest, hood, and powder skirt are removable. It's just a little bulky with the vest inside, but the extra warmth could be nice on a cold day. The vest can be worn alone. Overall, it's well made and attractive--a very nice jacket!

By MRC from Easley, SC on 02/25/2009 Pros: Breathable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this jacket, it is warm and comfortable. The relaxed fit is great. The collar was stiff and I took the part that was attached with velcrose loose and it is super comfortable. You would need the velcrose part if you are skiing, etc. I took out the vest and I have 2 jackets. With the vest out, it is not bulky but, very warm. If I was skiing, the vest would be great. The sleeve was a little long but not enough to be a big bother. I am a relaxed fit with almost petite arm length. The temperature that I experience is very cold one day and warm the next. When it is cold, I feel the cold and need a warm jacket. A great buy!

I wanted a true white, not off-white or semi-transparent where the lining color showed. All other features have not been tested fully since I haven't owned all that long yet.

By gator from north georgia on 01/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: my husband and I enjoy hiking, however some times the rainy damp weather during the cooler months slows us down without the right gear. This jacket is perfect for such a need as it is breathable when I work extra hard physically on the trail, it fits perfectly in the arms allowing adequate movement, and it's water proof. It doesn't get much better than that. Thanks Marmot for such a fine product.

very happy with this jacket! By Nan from Kitsap, WA on 12/23/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Cross Country, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am out in the rain watching soccer games, hiking, caring for farm animals. This breathes and I do not get too hot, I stay warm when not moving around, I have enough room for extra layers. I have long arms and have enough arm room to move easily. I am 5'9", thin, but needed an extra large. When vest is zipped in there is no access to nice pockets on inside of coat. When jacket is fully zipped neck area is a bit stiff. This jacket is waterproof, which is what I was looking for. I live in Pacific NW. we have snow and lots of rain.
