Awesome shoe boots-Well made and sturdy By Just Lee from Duluth, MN on 11/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great traction Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They seem like they are well made and will work well when walking in the snow and ice. Bottoms look like they should have great traction. It hasn't snowed yet, so time will tell, but so far I am impressed.
Extremely comfortable and lightweight By Morninglory from Easthampton, MA on 10/29/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I actually don't mind that they are a bit large - leaves room for fleece socks as we move into the colder weather. I really do like them a lot!
By Didogwalker from Ithaca, NY on 10/19/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Thick ridged sole, Versatile Cons: Irregular Fit, Too Wide Best Uses: Casual Wear, Chilly weather, Dog walking Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for use around town and dog walking. I bought 1/2 size smaller as suggested. Length is good, but they are wide. I put in $8 inserts, and that helped. A medium weight sock is still needed, to stop heel slipping. I like the thick sole, since it gets me "off the cold ground," and I think it will be good when the roads get icy. Not a perfect fit, but I can make it work. The "fleece lining" is not the furry type of fleece...it is smooth and not really noticeable, but that doesn't mean it won't be warm, I guess. Haven't tried in extreme cold yet.
By sidelines in the cold from long island ny on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have 3 pair and my husband has 2 pair great in cold conditions -- keep feet warm and no slip; can be too hot if in inside too long, but excellent for in and out doing errands and commuting to work on train and subway through slush etc. Not good when snow is too high; not a boot. Wonderful for early spring sports spectators.
By Terri from CA on 10/08/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these shoes over 4 yrs ago when we lived in CT and wore them daily for snow and wet days. They are SO comfortable and warm with wool socks. I now live in CA and WISH I could wear them more....they are also great for rainy days. I wish they came in a dark brown.
By FotoGirl from Burlington, VT on 09/16/2009 Pros: Good traction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I normally wear a size ten but ordered size 9.5 based on other reviews. They are still too big, so I sent them back - should've ordered a size nine! Too bad - they look very nice otherwise!
looked great; had to return them By Chaya986 from San Antonio, Texas on 09/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: had to return these; was too hard to get my foot into the shoe (perhaps my instep is too high?). Appeared to be a very well-built shoe for the price. Disappointed these didn't work out.
By beadrgrl from Boston on 09/10/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels full size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these shoes, but they were too big for me. I usually wear a 9, ordered an 8.5, and they were too big, felt sloppy overall.
long lasting relationship By madame x from UT on 08/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my second pair of soloman snow clogs. The first pair I bought 8 years ago - and wore them on many long winter walks in Anchorage AK. I can say that they have some wear, but are looking their age - so I upgraded to a new pair.
Plus: good grip in snow, warm
Cons:
One issue that I had, though, is wearing the appropriate socks with these shoes. I found that too thin or too thick of socks did not work - for the former, my heal would rub - for the latter, they just felt bulky. I pair them now with some nice smart wools which work great.
Also, when it is very very icy, these don't work so well - wear them in snow.
