I bought this as a gift for a friend and she absolutely loved it. she is only 5 feet tall so getting anything like this that is comfortable is tough. She especially likes all the convenience of the extra pockets.

Have worn all sorts of PFDs for canoeing and boating my whole life but wanted something a little more serious for my entry into white water kayaking. Quite comfy, very adjustable and seasoned kayakers told me what a good PFD I had on! Very comfy even in my most terrifying moments!

Double check the size you buy
By longtime STP customerVerified Reviewer from Salt Lake City UT on 06/19/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Durable, Good Ventilation, Lightweight
Cons:
Rides Up in Water
Best Uses:
Boating, Not kayaking, Paddling, Wakeboarding, Waterskiing
Describe Yourself:
Aggressive Rider
Chest Size:
Feels too big
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This may be designed for long torsos. Don't get one in a too-big size, check your measurements and order the smallest one you can fit in. The straps are too long to adjust down to fit a smaller torso, making it vulnerable to riding up when you're in the water, which defeats the purpose of wearing a PFD. I have a different style from this company and love it.

I took this PFD out on the Potomac. When I capsized, this baby was perfect for me. I'm a fly fisherman so the giant space in the arm pits allow me to move freely. I love it!
