Comments: I have only used this pack twice since I have received it, both times X-country skiing. It is light and has lots of great padding. Great fit for taller women (I am 5'11) if you want a nice pack for day trips or long weekends. Lots of good storage compartments and plenty of space for all your gear. I have owned 2 other Marmot bags and this seems to be of the same high quality.

This is really just a bookbag. There is no framesheet to transfer the load to the hip belt. I was expecting a bit more considering the size. Good quality pack in every other way though.
Good for car camping or a driving overnighter but not a backpacking pack.

By Disappointed packer from Cleveland, Ohio on 4/17/2008
Cons:
No internal frame, Uncomfortable with load
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
What Is Your Gear Style:
Minimalist
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments: The pack is too large not to have an internal frame. Attempting to use the hip belt is useless without this feature, as most of the weight will ride on the shoulder straps. Pass on this one.
