Comments: Purchased these for oldest son, who is a hunter and purchased a pair of Steiner compacts for other son who is a backpacker. The Rallye is suuperior in low light levels, otherwise the two have same clarity. Based on trying both, I purchased a pair of compacts for myself. For hunters who are out early and late, the Rallyes are the best bet. But they are heavy, best carried in your pack. Personal choice here - both the Rallyes and Compacts are terrific buys. I have done a lot of hunting in Alaska and the Compacts would be OK, but the Rallyes would be hard to beat for an evening chase.

Large binoculars with extraordinary clarity and resolution. I use them for fairly stationary viewing. I use compact binoculars when moving.
The integrated lens caps make such a tight package that I have never had a need for a case.
