Superior quality and performance By JTron from Lynden, WA on 03/15/2009 Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction Best Uses: Bird Watching, Sporting Events/Concerts Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these as an upgade to a 10X25 pair of binoculars that I've had for many years. Although not quite as compact, the Steiners are far superior in construction, optical quality and most important to me, use in low light conditions. They come with a carrying case, but I wish they had also provided lens caps/protectors.
By Dr. George from Toluca Lake, California on 03/12/2009 Pros: COMFORTABLE IN HANDS, Compact, Ease of use, Lightweight, Quality Lenses, QUCK FOCUS, Strong Construction Cons: NOT WATERPROOF BUT RESIST Best Uses: Bird Watching, Sporting Events/Concerts, Wildlife Viewing Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have tried 5 different kinds of compact binoculars and these are the first that really deliver outstanding clarity with a size that will fit in my pocket. An avid fly fisherman, I love to be able to add bird watching but hate the bulkiness of full size binoculars. These are really a comfortable and well made pair of binoculars that are now my go to pair.
